DEVELOPMENT RISKS WE REVIEW BEFORE BULK PRODUCTION
More Glide Is Not Always Better
Reducing drag can improve application, but an overly soft system may increase breakage, deformation, transfer or high-temperature instability. We tune the formula and core structure together.
More Pigment Does Not Automatically Mean Better Payoff
Color payoff also depends on pigment dispersion, base selection, particle size, application thickness and finish. The commercial target is consistent color delivered through a controlled, comfortable stroke.
A Faster Set Time Changes the Application Experience
A quick-setting formula can support long wear, but leaves less time for correction and blending. We define the set time and blend window around the intended use case.
Stronger Adhesion Requires the Right Removal Strategy
Long-wear and transfer-resistant positioning should be balanced with realistic removal guidance and the expectations of the destination market.

Why Brands Use ZM Beauty for Lip Liner Development
10 Compatibility Risk Checks
Check filled or assembled samples for swelling, cracking, leakage, staining, print adhesion, core loosening, component deformation, mechanism failure, cap sealing and dry-tip risk.
4 Format-Specific Test Protocols
Separate test protocols cover sharpenable, retractable, cream or blur, and water-based fine-tip formats, with acceptance criteria matched to each delivery system.
8 Batch-Release Checkpoints
Check incoming materials, first articles, core weight or fill volume, appearance and shade, component function, decoration, retail packaging and finished goods before release.
Shade Consistency Control: ΔE00=0.50-0.80
Our 6 QA and testing specialists colour-check each lip gloss batch against the approved shade standard, with batch-to-standard colour difference controlled at ΔE00 (CIEDE2000) = 0.50-0.80.

FAQ
Yes. We can start from a proven formula platform or develop toward defined targets for glide, payoff, hardness, blend window, finish and wear. The formula, core or tip, component and packaging are reviewed as one product system.
Our standard project MOQ starts at 1,000 units. Final MOQ and per-shade allocation depend on the format, formula batch size, number of shades, component availability, decoration and packaging. Share your planned shade count and first-order quantity so we can confirm a workable structure.
Yes. Send a physical sample, Pantone direction, product link or performance brief. We can develop toward the desired sensory and color direction, or create lip liner shades that coordinate with your lipstick, gloss, oil or tint range. Final targets are confirmed through sampling rather than assumed as an exact copy.
Each batch is compared with the approved physical shade standard. Under defined instrumental conditions, batch-to-standard color difference is typically controlled at ΔE00 (CIEDE2000) 0.50-0.80, supported by standardized drawdowns and visual assessment. Approved samples, retained samples and batch records support repeat-order consistency.
Filled or assembled samples are checked for core fixation, mechanism function, sharpening, leakage, cap sealing, dry-tip risk, staining, cracking and decoration adhesion as applicable. The product route must pass the agreed compatibility and functional review before bulk release.
Document support depends on the selected formula, packaging and destination market. Share your target countries at the brief stage so we can confirm applicable INCI, MSDS/SDS, COA, quality records, labeling inputs and available testing or compliance support before quotation.
